LADS DRAW IN THE MONSOON

Durrus fought out a 2-2 draw at home to Sullane in terribly wet conditions. Twice the lads were ahead, both goals coming form Saucy, but twice Sullane fought their way back. Match report and stats on the Juniors page. This Sunday the lads are home again, this time to top of the table Mizen, kick off is 11am.

DURRUS DRAW AT DRINAGH

The lads got the league campaign going this week with a 1-1 draw away at Drinagh Rangers B. Saucy O'Donovan headed the lads into the lead on the stroke of half time but a late equaliser undone all the good work for a share of the points. Match report and stats on the Juniors page.

ALMOST THE PERFECT START

On Sunday we went out of the Carling Cup on penalties to our old chums Baltimore but it was a fantastic display from the lads who fought back from 2-0 down with goals from Saucy and Alex. Saucy missed a penalty when we were a goal down but his strike to level things up mid way through the second half was straight out of the top drawer. At this moment we are still waiting for the league fixtures to come out, I don't know what the delay is but as soon as we have them we shall put them on this site.

TRAINING GETS UNDER WAY SOON

Pre-season training gets under way on Thursday July 15th at the Community Field at 7.30pm. It will be good to get back going again and hopefully we will get to see some new faces. Players are reminded that the registration fees will be the same as last season but there will be a cover charge for training too.

Durrus F.C. are constantly trying to raise funds by the way of sponsors. Any monies that the club receive is greatly appreciated and is distributed through the club's many channels. There are referees to pay, kits to be brought, washed and kept in order, balls, training facilities, the list goes on. If anyone out there feels that they can contribute in any way possible please get in touch with the club through the normal channels.
